That's what it was like the last time I went out. Couldn't hear a thing people were saying, but I have a feeling it didn't really matter. At least when I was in high school we'd go out and do fun stuff. Like... egging arch-enemies houses
I wouldn't find that fun now - I'd feel way too guilty, but at the time exacting revenge for the schoolyard humiliation we received from the jocks was nice. But an even better result of those antics was the late night walks through the suburbs where we'd talk about interesting stuff on the way. Even now I'd much rather go out at night and explore the old train yard nearby than go out to some club where people get drunk and overload their senses with loud (often shit) music.
