Looks like I need to make room for another descriptor, secularist. Count me in. I'm willing to embrace the policy of always permitting as much public display of religious belief as long as everyone agrees also to complete separation of church and state. Actually recognizing the political positions which represent efforts to implant religious belief into the law would be difficult in practice, but if all parties could agree on the importance of trying .. it would be a start.
