For starters marriage is not a religious sacrament, it is a contract of commitment between two people.(Ever heard of civil marriages?)
But of course religion just couldn't pass up the opportunity to control yet another aspect of peoples lives could they?

And why shouldn't two people regardless of sexual orientation be married in any way they wish?

Secondly what if the two people in question decide that they want to be married in a Catholic Church? Do you think it is a gay couples right to be married in a Catholic Church if they so wish?

As the Catholic church is the biggest franchise of paedophiles an d money launderers on the globe at the moment I fail to see why they are so reticent to make even MORE money from their fees for their services.
