I very much doubt they were in their 80s in that day and age to be honest. Collation of the bible was around the time period you suggest, but the individual accounts are traced closer between 50-100ad as far as I know, so also unlikely to be eyewitness, but written accounts of verbal diarrhea that passed for their faith.
I broadly agree, but its probably best its pointed out before a theist uses those inaccuracies to undermine your entire point.
