Using the word understand can also make religious people feel stupid if they say no to the question. "Do you understand evolution?"
You should always correct or reverse silly theists questions anyway

I understand reverse - as paraphrase their question if thats what you mean or something like that? - but correct...maybe we do sometimes need to correct their questions but I often find theistic corrections very simple and easy to answer.
