Me too. It's people like us that are ruining this website. Personally I can't stand our kind. We suck. Well that is a little harsh but I sure know my share of ugly Americans. Sometimes it feels like I'm related to a bunch of them. (Sure hope this apple fell plenty far from the tree.)

I live in Berkeley, California .. across the bay from gay San Francisco. I like it here. We have natural air conditioning in the summer and don't get very cold in the winter. It is a foodie mecca, not that I indulge all that often. There is a big garden culture here and I'm a member of a bunch of horticultural organizations. I love gardening in this mediterranean climate. There are a lot of regional parks on my side of the bay, almost all of which permit dogs to be walked off leash which keeps my dogs and I very happy. I was born just south of here in Oakland at a navy hospital but as a navy brat have lived lots of places.
