Humans don't run on science, reason and logic, they run on primal instinct, emotion and conditioned emotion.
What drives you to be athiest, not science etc but emotion. A logical being would not care if people believed in God or not.
There is reality, but give me a perfect constant so we know what it is.
"I think therefore I am" is that good enough for you? Do you really know if you exist let alone God? This planet we have with life, an oasis in an endless ocean of black freezing space. Do you buy it is it real? Could it be that God is the only thing real and we are just a dream?
Don't assume that what is true for you is true for everyone else as well. Maybe you run on primal instinct, emotion and conditioned response, but that does not mean that everyone is incapable of running on reason and logic.
A logical being would very much care what those he associates with believe, because their actions are guided by their beliefs and those actions may end up helping or harming the being. I wouldn't assume that every atheist comes to atheism through reason and logic, but I know I did and know this because emotionally, I'm still a theist. If I'd let emotions dictate my beliefs, then I'd have liked to believe that there is something benevolent, just and powerful out there that is watching out for me and that is what I would have believed. But rationally, there is no way I can come to that conclusion and that is why I'm an atheist.
