Minor nitpick Stimbo, there is plenty of empty space in the small planet beneath your feet also. The only reason you don't fall through is the electromagnetic repulsion.
This is true of course. However, since my usage of the word "space" was in the astronomical sense of "never-ending space" beyond our atmosphere, as is readily apparent from the context of FTR's comment and my reply, your nitpick is akin to comparing atomic apples to celestial oranges. So nur to you.
