Did you not read anything else that I or Phil wrote in the previous posts about natural selection? Mutation itself is variation and with time and enough mutation there will be infinite variation. It is simple probability. Evolution is proven with very simple probabilistic math and with a very simple algorithm called natural selection. There will be a certain point when genes passed on will not be compatible with the parent species. This is when a new species is formed. I said this previously.

By the way, early cells can evolve even more quickly and increase the information in their genome by taking in DNA and RNA from the outside environment. There are tons of ways the information in the genome can be increased and sexually is only one of them. Therefore by increasing the information in the genome a cell can evolve upwards asexually.
