Well, not exactly me, as I live far away from where you live, so it doesn't affect me directly. I'm opposed to the concept of gays marrying in general, not if they have the right to marry in the US or not.

Does it? But I guess the fact that we(the normal people) have the privilage to marry has everything the fuck to do with gays, as they want the same privilages. They are very uncomfortable with the fact that there are certain things before society that differentiate us from them. That is why they want to get married. Not because they're in love, not because they want to share property. Because they want to agitate normal society, that's it. They want traditional marital values to end, so that they can feel more normal about themselves. The same reason why they want to adopt children. I've said this about a few times now.

Why is it the state's job to "allow" marriage? The premise is ridiculous, but the reality of what happened in NC is a complete tragedy. We've got to stop operating on the assumption that legality comes from laws; we can't keep allowing government to decide what we do with our own lives. Every time we give more power over for something we want, we get shafted by the same government we empowered to do it. We have got to be a nation of limited government or this is what we'll get.

You get your benefits from the state. The state is responsible for protecting the family and marriage. For these are essential to the future of the state itself, sorry.
The government sometimes has to engage into social engineering on it's part, just like you try to do so, by trying to normalize homosexuality.
