They have really weird customs in india. In our parts of the country, the grooms side pays the bride's dowry to her father. In India it's the exact opposite.
For that reason, indians prefer to get rid of their girls before they're born, but this one had the unluck to be born.
Thankfully such customs are not a part of our superior culture which values women.
