A noble yet futile endeavor as evidenced by the many discussions with literalists on this site.
Ah yes, I have heard about this futility. But you see, my hopefully future friend, I don't debate theists in hopes of deconverting them.
1) Debating theists keeps my mind sharp on the subject matter. I learn more about their views as well as my own. And you know what? I'm often forced to reexamine some of my points. That's progress.
2) Debating on the Internet is my small way of contributing to the education of the public. Even if one person on the fence finds my points to be convincing, all of my efforts would have been worth it.
3) I genuinely enjoy these debates. I don't get to do this much in my personal life.
Whoops, I ranted.

I tend to do that as much as I tend to pass gas. So just a precaution to everyone... Sometimes I get real mouthy. It often gets mistaken for anger. I assure you, it's more likely I'm just passionate about the subject at hand.
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I love this place already. Hopefully I don't piss off too many of you

With that, I'll leave you with a brain dropping...
If spicy food gives me gas, is it still a compliment when I tell a girl she's hot?
