That is delusion at its best! I think St.Francis of Assisi had much more insight into reality when he said

I feel a lot better going out and being my own person than being a slave to a 2,000 year old book. I don't need any kind of god to stand on my own two feet, take air into my lung, and set my will to achieve what I can. And if I can't do it myself, I will not lie down and call it "wisdom". I will do my best to inspire those who can make the change.
I will never be so passive as to bow my head to a shadow and cast my hopes to the wind. I will never be so complacent in my life as to pray for something instead of working towards it. I will never abandon the strength that has always carried my through my life and will continue to.
EDIT: @Ace: I do try and get through. No reason not to try and if they learn anything, I've done well.
