I'd really rather buy it myself, like I said, this really represents a level of formality that is needed and I really don't think I'd be given the money to buy an engagement ring, we're not exactly rich either.

well personally I think it's lovely, however, I can hardly buy it for myself and I think she'd rather something white gold with a sky blue stone. The problem being she is allergic to most metals and has a preference for thick bands and sky blue is her favourite colour so basically, I really like it but I don't think it'd be a success
