Seriously? For crying out loud. The brain stem relays these things! Without an area to relay them to, the baby is not aware! Fuck, if you want to go with all of the functions of the brain stem without considering the rest of the motherfucking brain, we could say these babies are completely normal. Not sure what Shell is on about but in anencephapy what I said is missing, is what is missing. There is a midbrain, hindbrain and brainstem.
