i won't pay for something if i don't know (or trust) that it's worth it and i can't get it free elsewhere. so i'd definitely say, put all functionality there for free during trial period, then restrict premium features if they don't pay. i also like the option of donate - it leaves the amount up to the person and that makes anyone able to afford it. looks good man, i will be glad to look at it upon launch.
