Oh in our "wet" counties you can't buy alcohol on Sunday. The liquor stores close around 1AM Sunday morning. The gas stations that sell it have chains on the cooler doors so that no one can even steal alcohol on Sunday. It's really ignorant.
DLF, the funny thing is, that my travels usually carry me to Cincinnati. The second I get off the OH/KT airport, I drive down to the nearest gas stating and buy my carton of smokes there. Ohio's taxes are ridiculous on cigarettes and Kentucky's is much better..loLOL...
Kentucky's cash crop is tobacco and it's history is rich in tobacco growing. I think it has changed to Marijuana and the last I heard more money is now made off of that than tobacco. Either way we have a lot of smokers in this state who want cheap smokes because they think it's their god given right. We will tax the hell out of alcohol to pay for school books but usually they won't touch the tobacco.
