Think harder.
Think smarter, not harder. Now I'm pretty impartial in this matter, and I am aware of the general consensus on your nationalism, but perhaps there is a serious issue of clericalism underlying all of this conflict? It seems that a sympathy with religion tends to further the extent to which people place their nation above others when, in fact, all countries are arbitrarily divided. Perhaps there is absolutely no superiority in any country?
I'm off topic again, respect for religion is something that should never exist on a macro-scale, organised religion is the worst thing to happen to the world since...nope, its the worst thing ever. Now, this seems to me to be warranting unlimited scrutiny, however, if someone believes in God there is a certain level of respect awarded to that person for, in the initial, being human. If you want to believe in some tyrannical monopolistic creator then go for it, the respect for religion stops when it is imposed or when I am questioned. There seems to me to be an attitude of personal insult when a theist asks an atheist about religion, surely honesty is better than dishonesty? after all, being truthful and rational is no more an attack on a person's belief than a simple objective re-assessment? food for thought...
Religion is an attempt to answer the philosophical questions of the unphilosophical man.
