She should definitely be jailed and never allowed to practice medicine again. This is totally fucked.
Unfortunately, this kind of thing might be more common than you'd think. When a friend of mine was pregnant, she told me her doctor interrogated her about her personal life, giving her a little lecture on being an unwed mother every time she went to see him.
He let her go waaaay overdue. Her son was born weighing 11lbs, stained by meconium (his first poo), and had to be delivered by caesarian. Of course, only after she'd suffered in labor for 19 hours.
The baby had to be in NICU for weeks after birth because he suffered from Meconium Aspiration Syndrome, and he almost died.
Then when he came back to check up on her the day after the baby was born, he told her that a medical crisis such as her baby's would be much easier to cope with if she had a husband. That's right. Let's punish a baby because you want it to be 1955 again. I wanted to wring his neck, but she's passive so I respected her wishes.
Anyway, do you ever think that verse in leviticus is interpreted incorrectly?
"If a man also lie with man, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death"
