Whereas uneducated bombers are less likely to go through with things (and more likely to get caught when they do), educated bombers are much more likely to have conviction to go through with it and know how to make their suicide attack as deadly as possible.
2/3 of the 9-11 bombers attended college: Mohammad Atta (the lead pilot) went to a German University and got a degree in urban planning before he crashed his plane into the Twin Towers.
Well-educated people (especially engineers) are overrepresented to say the least, in suicidal attacks and otherwise. But maybe you are right that you probably don't want to send a bomb crafter in to detonate his own bomb.
I am sorry that people have sent bile your way.

And one has to consider that if this law existed, it was probably exercised quite often, considering that the man who ratted out our Polish nobleman seemed to see using this against him to get out of paying his debts was quite valid.No it doesn't. There have been laws against heresy and going apostate, and that's really all you need, and law codes like the one we have in modern day haven't always been the case. Its not like there are no records from this time: the Church keeps very good records, as it needs to.

Quote:It can get a bit "technical" there but many people tend to equate the Renaissance as the precursor to the Enlightenment and therefore tend to consider it part of the "Enlightenment era" even if not part of the Enlightenment itself. I'm one of those people, since I connect the events within the Renaissance as being many of the direct precursors to the Enlightenment itself.They are very different in their natures though, and by that logic the Enlightenment era would run from the 14th century. Its a direct precurser in the way that one follows the other and that every philosophical movement is a reaction to the one which came before it (or the events which came before it), but that doesn't make them the same.

Mary Immaculate, star of the morning
Chosen before the creation began
Chosen to bring for your bridal adorning
Woe to the serpent and rescue to man.
Sinners, we honor your sinless perfection;
Fallen and weak, for your pity we plead;
Grand us the shield of your sovereign protection,
Measure your aid by the depth of our need.
Bend from your throne at the voice of our crying,
Bend to this earth which your footsteps have trod;
Stretch out your arms to us, living and dying,
Mary Immaculate, Mother of God.
