The worst enemy to theism is technology and science, and considering how fast the gain is in both, it gives less room for superstition to hide. It is a boon for skepticism and the "fatal harbinger" Jefferson spoke of in regards to reason being the cure for superstition.

The young are more tech savvy and more aware of global culture and less likely than their parents to be as dogmatic as their elders.
