I had one real gripe with Starcraft. And that was that you could only select a maximum of 12 units at once, yet you were dealing with a 200 population limit when you played multiplayer. I just find that really tedious.
And other than that it's just a matter of preference. I adore AoC.
But nevertheless Starcraft is fucking awesome. An amazing strategy game, I would have played that all those years if it hadn't have been AoC.
I am extremely impressed and amazed how the 3 races in Starcraft can be so incredibly well balanced and yet so incredibly different. Different people won the Starcraft World Cyber Games (WCG) and what's amazing is that it had also been won with all 3 different races. They are so well balanced and so different, it's incredible. An absolute masterpiece of game design.
