I think this applies to me, I haven't done much for the poor, nor done much for justice. I talk about the world designed to bring about a heroes heart, but haven't done anything worth while yet.

A lot of Christians do a lot for humanity as well. You are of few gems in humanity that do well for others and care for others outside their family.
I understand your fustration. But to see gems like you, caring for others and doing stuff for others, I think it makes the world of chaos and sufferring worthwhile specially if in the long term, everyone will be at peace and bliss. After a trillion years of bliss...the world or worlds of sufferring and struggle, would be looked back to as a great favor, a great lesson, a great opportunity, but for many of us, a missed one.
And if there is no god and after life, it doesn't matter, because an honorable life of helping others and caring for others, is more worthy of living, then a eternal life of carnal bliss where no virtue was aquired. A life where people strongly patiently persevere in face of sufferring, is more greater then eternal life of carnal bliss.
This our time. God or no God, this how to live.
