A lot of the shooters suck too. I tried playing CoD4 on Xbox live once. Those guys treat it like it's the real army, took all the fun out of it. The Halo games are great though, the live experience is fantastic there.
"CoD is easier to get into and play without any real experience," my friend told me once.
I replied, "Sure, if you can get past the endless sea of profanity coming from the twelve year olds that play it".
I don't really play fighting games. I enjoy Castle Crashers, but that doesn't really count. Most of the shooters on the market today are just rehashes of older games in the series, or more successful games.
I find that most shooter games are just Doom with fancier graphics and varying plotlines. And Castle Crashers is such a stupid game. That said, I can't stop playing it.
