Perhaps you're casting too big a net here. Try finding even one modern day philosopher of world renown that believes in a personal god that answers prayer. I don't think you can.

And it is a statistical fact that the more educated a person becomes the less likely they are to believe in a personal god that answers prayer.
So, in reality, religious stupidity runs mostly among the brainwashed, dumbed down, gullible masses.
