Quote:I'm trying to prove that given a certain set of circumstances an afterlife is logical.
Logic does not guarantee truth. A logical inference (conclusion) is true if and only if the premise can be proved to be true. A skeptic,I demand any logical argument be supported by credible evidence.
Quote:can theoretically build a means of saving all the signals of a brain and preserve the consciousness inside said brain in another medium.
Positive claim, attracting the burden of of proof. Let's see it.
If arguing the possibility of an afterlife, you are arguing duality.IE something external/independent/transcending the body. Such a thing is logically possible, but as likely as the existence god (s)
If simply arguing preservation of (existing) brainwaves, you are arguing a limited form of immortality, not an afterlife. I also think you are making some unfounded assumptions about the nature of mind and self
Your claims are not supported by evidence, and I think fall under the heading wishful thinking, to be charitable:
Quote:Humankind, if avoiding extinction, can theoretically build a means of traveling between universes.
Again,a positive claim.proof needed. The existence of multi verses has not been established, only proposed. Right now,we can barely travel to Mars. Interstellar travel will only be practical if we solve the problem of faster than light speed. As far as I'm aware, we,are centuries from there, even if it is possible.
IF humanity survives;as Min said, a big 'if. Based on seeing the stupidity which is causing us to make our planet uninhabitable,I think humanity will probably go extinct well before the end of this millennium.I'm assuming there is no world war over dwindling resources or catastrophic pandemic.
Sorry,I've run out of puff. ( I can't type for toffee; long posts take me ages)
