Yeah, I get this at times. I, on the other hand, thought it was a common experience. That being given, I've never looked into it at all.
Edit: Have you never noticed how people's heads jerk when someone is whispering to them? Mine does that, and it is because of that sensation. I always just assumed it was some sort of psychological trigger, similar to how you get goose bumps when something freaky happens, or you're watching a horror movie.
