That's quite an accusation for someone who's just simply proclaimed atheism (as you've explained here). I wonder why you feel that they look at you that way. It's not like you're exposing your daughter (?) to a satanist in your home or anything! Having tea over satanic ritual conversations or the like.
Just curious, what's wrong with him having his own beliefs? He has his own mind, just as you want your own right to "not believe". Not sure of what you're looking for. Support from others here or are you trying to "change" him?
