Dismounted cavalrymen. Even in old times, cavalry would sometimes dismount and fight on foot to either supply the core or left-right flanks.
However, there also is a term called "mounted infantry". Dragoons could be classified as such, mobile, while performing the duties of infantry, laying down a barrage of fire.
