As for what the society would be like? I don't really know, but I do predict it would be a far way into the future.
The problem is in a free-for-all society there will always be benefit to those who are relatively more intelligent and persuasive in using their talents to indoctrinate those who are relatively more gullible and stupid. Their relative difference in cognition, perception, etc, will always allow the relatively more intelligent to indoctrinate the relatively less intelligent, no matter how intelligent the relatively less intelligent actually is on an absolutely scale.
