Prediction is difficult. Especially about the future.
~ Niels Bohr
I'm of the opinion that diversity is a strength, not a weakness. If you reduce the variety of alleles that exist in a population, you reduce its genetic diversity, and that usually has negative consequence for that species' survival. While there are certainly valid justifications for limiting some types of diversity, where diversity actually itself is a threat (lawbreakers). And there are other instances in which we limit freedom and diversity for societal goals (implementing governments, public works). In general, I believe arbitrarily limiting diversity without justification is harmful. (This is one of my main objections to the Atheism+ movement.)
I do not see how limiting a society to those who hold specific views on religion and politics is likely to yield a net gain for that group or species. My inclination is that it would do more to harm both the future success and current prosperity for this group or species. As already noted, specific views on religion or politics don't correlate well with other more important measures of success and fitness, like intelligence. What's the old saying, "A house divided cannot stand" ? Perhaps such a house divided would stand, but I don't believe it would stand as well.
