You failed to mention what your conservative Chilean friends think. You don't actually expect me to believe that 'all' your Chilean friends are liberal, do you?
I am acquainted with some conservatives by my friends were all liberals.
And yes my friends who remember first hand are in their fifties. I never claimed to know government ministers.
Yes all my Chilean friends are Liberals. Conservative Chileans are almost always ultra catholic nut cases. Society is very polarized in Chile. Urban liberals in Santiago live work and socialise in completely different places

Articles, which you have just given some kind of Puddle endoresement, don't come with over 100 citations like the Wikepedia entry. I doubt that you are prepared to refute the sources for the entry, other than to give the unsubstantiated opinion that the sources are also all left wing polemics.
Its what has been left out and how it has been portrayed that is the issue. The whole vote by Congress- left out, the Cuban advisers -left out, the speech where Allende claims that half the country are not his citizens. The whole piece is a polemic
You used the word propoganda. I doubt that you have any understanding the abuse this word has taken over the last hundred years. It's original meaning was something along the lines of what we now call 'spin'. A neutral word really, more of a verb than a noun; however, it is now excusivley used in a deragatory manner eliciting the meaning of 'spin' that challenges one's pre-conceived notions.
Do you use all words as they were originally meant? Do you say ;proest' instead of 'protest against', when you say 'Girl' do you reallly mean a young man? No then stop being a hypocrite.
It is only someone with no knowledge of Chile to understand that you can think Pinochet a murdering asshole and Allende a childish buffoon who broke the constitution and ignored both courts and parliament.
Allende should have resigned and new elections called for.
