So at least some people at least sometimes think the universe has an intention/intentions behind it, and some people I guess you could say call this "God" although they very probably have other reasons for believing in God, although perhaps those reasons are often different interpretations of the same thing.
And maybe all the Bible/Koran stuff, etc, etc, are just examples of people seeing intentions/meaning in things when there isn't any.
