We are advanced enough to feed the whole world, stop wars, be environmentally responsible and many more things that we simply dont do, advancement is no reason to believe certain things are impermissible. Yes, there's enough food but that doesn't mean that we can't eat sprouts either. Hardly a reasonable criticism
