Yep. I started to have severe doubts between 7-10 but you know what that indoctrinations like when done properly. The second a rational thought enters your mind a siren goes off and a loud voice on a megaphone screaming "WRONG! IMMORALE! BURNING IN HELL ALERT! BURNING IN HELL ALERT!" to which the response is usually "Fuck, ok. Calm down. I believe, I believe."
That was basically my inner monologue till I got to secondary school... and read the entire Bible cover to cover during RE.
Yeeeeah. Now I'm not a critic but that has to be one of the worst fictional plots I've ever read and some things just didn't add up. Very lazily done, all over the place.
I mean not as bad as "The Da Vinci Code" but not far off. As a factual, historical document? Don't make me laugh.
Which by the way is what I did. Repeatedly. Until eventually the siren ran out of batteries and the voice from the megaphone was too hoarse to speak anymore, so many times they had been set off. By the time I got to the end... well... lets just say I was ready for some non-fiction. Tried other religions and their little books but no dice, I was allergic to bullshit by that time thanks to being exposed to an incredible amount already. Rest is history.
