Then stand by your words and prove that in a formal debate. Prove it to him - and to others - that if you are not a scriptural christian, then you are not a christian at all. I can see that he is pushing your buttons, but you started out by offering to debate and now are unwilling to engage in a formal one.

Apparently you don't understand how a debate works. The topic is that someone can be a Christian while considering your scripture to be bullshit. Your argument from scripture isn't exactly effective.
