Uhh...yeah, that's how pretty much every fucking atheist comes to become an atheist.
In their case, I don't think so. I've talked to some of them and I've seen something that seems to happen with them: they were feminists (or feminazis) long before they were atheists. Feminism promoted atheism, not because they found no reason to believe in any god or because of skepticism or critical thinking, but because religion has been so responsible for sexist gender roles and sexual oppression. The problem is, instead of being religious fundamentalists/extremists, so many of them have turned into feminist fundamentalists/extremists. Different ideology, same unquestioning sheep mentality.
