I don't believe that. Animals do everything they can to resist pain and death. When animals are killed they exhibit fear and pain.
No one is denying, or should deny that animals feel pain and have emotions. But you are living in a delusion to think that 7 billion people that come from an evolution of being omnivores are going to stop eating animals. The reality is that we do and that wont end anytime soon.
I can agree with raising animals more humanly and finding more painless ways of killing them. But if you think people are going stop because you personally don't like it, cry me a river.
