RE: Hey, Assbutt! - A discussion about the paranormal side of things

Nothing 'paranormal' has happened to me, but I'm reminded of a funny anecdote though, that somewhat falls into the category.
Still at 23 I'm afraid of the dark. Not always, but sometimes I get really anxious when it's dark. (It got especially bad when I had just watched the move "REC" and half of the town lost power and I freaked out. I wanted to go to my bf's place, but that meant navigating through the whole, pitch-dark stairwell. Let's just say that I ran the whole way down.)
Anyhoo, that was not the story I was supposed to tell. I was on my way to the bathroom one night and suddenly I heard the most odd sound coming from the living room. It was a sound I had never heard before in our apartment and I got really scared and for a moment I thought that I was actually going crazy since nothing in the living room could possibly make that noise. Five seconds after fighting the oncoming panic I remembered, my roomie's bf had brought his two mini hamsters to our place and hamster being nocturnal animals, it was only them being busy in their cages. Boy, did I feel like a fool afterwards

When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura
