Yeah! Just like the guys who invented Zeus, it was the best they could come up with! or...they saw how sucussful older religions had been at controlling people and decided to try it out for themselves. Here's a thought: if this is the One True Faith, then why isn't it the first? You would think that god would have chosne to reveal himself before paganism got popular. After all, worshiping him, rather than some pagan god, is one of the ten commandments (the first, in fact!). You would think it would have been a higher priority for him.
