Heh, this is the first time I've ever joined a forum not as "kingschosen". I've just been on am upside down dog kick lately.

KC, I agree with you on the piety, but I'm a bit surprised to see the quote above. Aren't you being equally audacious when you say you are elect?
Yes. Being elect is a very arrogant concept to non-Christians. Not so much to Christians, though.
Also, being elect is something between that person and God. It doesn't involve someone else. Likewise, being elect doesn't impose your personal beliefs onto someone else.
So, yes you are correct and no you are wrong.
They are both arrogant in a way... but being elect is passive; having feigned piety is active condemnation.
