What does someone being put to death for an interpretation have to do with how interpretation is done? A baffling non-sequitur, that. Almost equally as baffling as your ad hominem attack ("Typical of you to jump to conclusions, Arcanus; after all, you Christians don't even need evidence to believe you've got the answer").
That is the issue at hand!
You said that God gave us reason to be able to interpret the book effectively but that is often not what happens, there are MANY instances of people using their reasoning and getting horrific results, using this same reason that you have claimed was a gift from God.
This is the same God who is omnipresent, who knew fully that the logic and reason he gave to humans was inadequate and would subsequently cause the deaths of millions of people because they lacked the capacity to interpret the book the way he intended, but it gets worse, because the only reason that they were required to interpret the book in the first place, was because God did not bother to ensure that it was clear and concise to begin with.
What sort of idiot God do you worship?
