Yeah, I'm afraid "might makes right" isn't a very convincing answer. Such a "god" is unworthy of the title.

Actually it does, in every aspect of very soceity we have ever created. The fact that you do not like this and the fact you rebel against this idea is a 'might makes it right' in action.

Also, you seem to have created a false dichotomy that anyone that doesn't serve your god simply serves themself. Does telling yourself that all of the non-believers are selfish make you feel better about god sending people to hell?

God simply points out this dichotomy in the bible, in that you are saved (which means you have pledged to serve God.) or you are not. Which means at the very least you serve yourself, for you do not serve God.
