All civilizations would eventually create computer simulations of the universe, and ours will, too. It will take some time, however. Meanwhile, we are a simulation in some nerdy kid's experiment. He belongs to a race of being so advanced that you and I can hardly imagine them.
The thing is, that nerdy kid is also a computer simulation. But, no one has told him yet.
