iTunes is teh suck. Of course, pretty much every other similar app I've used on Windows sucks about as bad. Big Grin I'm guessing the experience on OSX is different.

Frankly, all I use it for is syncing the iPod nano that's connected to my car stereo on rare occasions when I want to change what's on it. If I ever get around to seeing how well a USB stick or Android phone works in it's place, the nano may be going buh bye, and iTunes with it.

iTunes works great on the Mac. I hear it's awful on Windows. I'm not sure why exactly people would say that. Maybe because it's still the Mac UI on Windows.

There's still a lot about iTunes that seems really dated. It's the only application on OSX that still uses modal preferences window. Album artwork in album view still sputters trying to load the artwork. The information fields for tracks doesn't have separate fields for first middle and last names which can cause problems when browsing via artist or composer. When you open up the information window for a selected item(s) you can't continue to use the application until you close the information window. This is very inconsistent with the way info windows work in all other OSX applications. Applying changes to a large number of items brings up a progress window which prevents from using the application until the operation is finished which can sometimes be several minutes if you're say applying artwork to a few hundred tracks like I was after importing a 10 CD box set recently.
My ignore list
