Ok, so this was a long suggested feature by a few members, and I found a plugin that seems to work nicely. In the past you had to take a video url, take the ID of the video out of it, put it between the correct tags (as here: http://atheistforums.org/thread-406.html), and then you'd have an embedded video in your post. Well we always want to make things easier for you, so the new plugin tries to automatically detect urls to video sites, and then embeds to video for you.
For instance, in the past if I wanted to embed this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8ki125wp6M&feature=sub, I'd have to take the ID out of it (I8ki125wp6M) and put it between [youtube] tags.
Well, you can still do that (we're backwards compatible so as not to ruin a load of posts still using the tags), but it is far easier just to paste the url as it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8ki125wp6M&feature=sub

Oh, and if you *really* want to post a link instead of embedding the video, you can disable the automatic embedding by surrounding the url with "amoff" tags, like so:
Which produces this:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8ki125wp6M&feature=sub
As usual, please report bugs / sites that are missing. I should be able to add them to the plugin. I'm first going to tweak the sizes of the video players so they are a bit larger (especially for YouTube videos).
Update: This feature is disabled in the shoutbox for obvious reasons. If you post a url in the shoutbox, it'll just be a url.
