Im not a transexual nor have i ever spoke with one in my life but dont they normally say its because they feel comfortable like that? and im sure ive heard stories of some of them wanting to stay with thier wife even after the op so i dont think its about gayness.
In some cases, and this is just my theory it may be completely wrong, i think poor people do this in far east asian places for example, in order to be able to make money easier. Being a woman its easier to make money as a prostitute, but then they would have had to have quite a bit of money in the first place to be able to afford the op so im not sure if im right on this one
