Well, having been bullied as a kid and teen for being a "nerd" and "dork" I have long since gotten to the point where giving a fuck about people who don't matter in my life, did me no good, so I simply don't let other people's baggage become mine.
What matters is that we expose this crap and wash this selfish mentality out of society. You don't silence it by force, but you do have to stand up to it.
