That about sums up the absurdity of it all. I am into the NFL and I won't lie about having beer with it(kinda like peanut butter and jelly for me). But the jock crap about staying upset after a game and beating the shit out of team fan rivals. Ugg.
It is the same mentality religion has, worship something so blindly that any enjoyment you get out of it can get to the point of getting violent about it.
I actually went to a Eagles game as a Redskins fan(If you don't know they are division rivals). Some of their fans(at least the section of that staduim, back then) was full of people willing to literally beat the shit out of me if I peeped. All I could think was "What the fuck, it's just a game". Even their new stadium has a COURT and judge who arraigns people who get into fights during the game.
Guys are into sports, but so are women, and by themselves sports are not bad things. But mix it with worship and "poof" mix it with testosterone and beer, and instant morons.
