Essentially I agree with the orginal reading of 2Kings. so what is it in your opinion that needs to be backed up with scripture?

You are a sanctimonious prick.
Not because this ridiculous story ever happened but because you look at it and feel very righteous about yourself.
You are worse than a sanctimonious prick. You are a stupid sanctimonious prick.
Do you not understand the Hebrew usage of the term young people?
If a Male is considered a man at the time of his Bar Mitzvah, then one should ask how old would a hebrew male be when he had to go through this right of passage to become a man? (The answer is 13) what about girls? when do they go through Bat Mitzvah. (the answer their is 12) So the use of the term "young people" would tend to describe someone younger than 12 for a girl and 13 for a boy in that soceity.
In your opinion minnie are 11 and 12 years old too middle aged for you, to allow me to use the term young people to describe these kids?

Now at this point a see a great oppertunity for slaming you for your ignorance here, and would like to point out all that you have said and done in an unkind fashion because you jumped the gun and once again, did not check your facts, or ask a few simple questions to confirm what you thought was being discussed..
But, I think I will leave well enough alone.
